Can I Get A Witness?

What do we do when we see corruption at every level of our justice system? Do we then take matters into our own hands? What then if we are wrong in our attempt to be prosecutor, judge, and jury in a heartbeat? A speedy trial has never kept pace with our fight or flight response. Patience and justice do not have the same sting of immediate retaliation.

Our fight or flight narrows our perspective. Time and the objectivity of others alone helps reduce those blind spots. While our system of justice may only seem as just as the people themselves collectively, there is no better way than to treat others as we would want to be treated. While one may insist that in the heat of anger, they can track with that just fine, most find that way riddled with regrets. Were the same then done to them, they might find themselves with a whole new set of perspectives.
